Thyroid & Neck Scan

No preparation for this scan. We ask you wear a comfortable top clothing for the examination so the Sonographer can easily access the area required and this will be comfortable for you.

The Sonographer will have to ask you to expose your neck and remove all jewelries. A lubricant gel may be applied to the surface of the skin to allow the probe to glide smoothly, to obtain the required images. When the sonographer is done with the images, you will be given a tissue to wipe off the gel.

You will receive a clear written report of your scan results, including our recommendation for your next steps. If we recommend a medical follow-up, we can email a copy of your report to your healthcare provider.

Yes, all of our Sonographers are qualified and registered with the Health care Profession Council (HCPC) or The register of Clinical Technologists (RCT). Our staff are highly trained with many years of experience. We are also registered with the Care Quality Commission. (CQC).
