We ask you wear loose clothing for the examination so the Sonographer can easily access the area required and this will be comfortable for you.

The Sonographer will ask you to expose the region of concern. Every care will be done to maintain dignity throughout the examination. Paper tissue will be tucked into your clothes to keep them dry from the ultrasound gel. You maybe asked to cough, strain and possibly stand during the examination as the examination is dynamic and these actions may help to diagnose a hernia.

You will receive a clear written report of your scan results, including our recommendation for your next steps. If we recommend a medical follow-up, we can email a copy of your report to your healthcare provider.

Yes, all of our Sonographers are qualified and registered with the Health care Profession Council (HCPC) or The register of Clinical Technologists (RCT). Our staff are highly trained with many years of experience. We are also register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
