Oestradiol Blood Test

Oestradiol is a hormone produced in the ovaries and to a less extent in the testes. This hormone primarily regulates the female reproductive system, the growth of breast tissue and contributes to bone thickness. This blood test checks the levels of hormone in your blood.

This test can help investigate the cause of abnormal periods, heavy bleeding or menopause symptoms.

Oestradiol is an important hormone for ovulation and getting pregnant as it supports the lining of the uterus (endometrium) to thicken.
